March 6, 2025 - Boerne and I have been working on coming out of the crate, making it fun and routine after her morning nap. I have also been practicing driving up my energy level at the InGateWait2RingEntry. Today we are putting all that practice to the test and threading some things together.
GOOD: Boerne popped out of her crate at ringside! That was a huge milestone for us. And she was fabulous on the table! I was thrilled with what she gave me. But after watching the video of us today, I have some things I still need to work on.
NEED TO WORK ON: I got a little flustered when the dog ahead of me got moved up to Specials, so I wasn't ready to enter the ring. I was planning on doing my energy drive up at the InGateWait. Fortunately I practiced it where I was sitting, so I had a little energy going in. I looked down at her a number of times, I need to trust where she is using my peripheral vision. She was connected to me going in, but as we approached the table she disconnected. I should have turned it into a StepStepSay to get her back. Then I confused her on the DownNBack2FreeStack. I bet I made eye contact there too.

September 22, 2024 - This first weekend in Belton was a huge success for us at Dainty Acres. We showed three of our adults from our 2019 and 2022 litters at the Austin Kennel Club September 20-22, 2024.
Friday Judge Dr Fabian Daza picked Dainty's Cashmere Stetson as his Best of Winners and also sent him to the Toy Group as Best of Breed.
Saturday CH Dainty's Big Red won Best of Breed under Judge Mary Napper and again on Sunday under Judge Kimberly Meredith.
Sunday Dainty's Cashmere Stetson finished his points for his Championship title. He gets to wear the CH in front of his name now! (pending AKC)

Belton Texas 9/21/24 - Austin Kennel Club put on a lovely show at the Cadence Bank Center this weekend. My babies knocked it out of the park and even got to enjoy the personal victories of my friends and their pups today. Dainty's Cashmere Stetson won his Best of Breed, beating 3 Specials. Dainty's Big Red got Select Dog, putting him really close to finishing his Grand Champion title!!! Oh my gosh, so much to praise and so much chicken to reward these babies with!!!

August 31, 2024 - Last weekend Redmond and Boerne competed in the Italian Greyhound Club of America's National Dog Show in Colorado Springs. In my 30 years of breeding IG's, I've never seen anything like it. We came from all over the country, even had an entry from Italy. The best of the best, and then there was me. Ha!
August 30, 2024 - Italian Greyhound Judging Seminar
We are in Colorado Springs this weekend for some learning, showing and catching up with old friends. Today we are at the Italian Greyhound Judges Education Seminar, where we are learning what the Judge is thinking and how they pick their winner. This seminar as well as the IGCA National is at the Under the Sun Dog Training Center in Colorado Springs.
July 22, 2024 - Yesterday was an amazing day for Redmond and I. CH Dainty's Big Red won Grand Champion Select and he did that in a ring full of Champions and Grand Champions. The first 3 days in Houston I was so star struck with all the amazing dogs and handlers. These folks came from all over the country to show here in Texas at the World Series of Dog Shows.
