Thank you Judge Dr Fabian Daza for the great win and Ringside Hounds for the great photo!!!
We enjoyed 3 days of Judges Education Seminar, conformation classes and lots of fun stuff for Italian Greyhound enthusiasts. Under the Sun Event Center in Colorado Springs hosted the event and all the wonderful IGCA volunteers made it wonderful for all.
Sunday was an amazing day for Redmond and I. CH Dainty's Big Red won Grand Champion Select and he did that in a ring full of Champions and Grand Champions. The first 3 days in Houston I was so star struck with all the amazing dogs and handlers. These folks came from all over the country to show here in Texas at the World Series of Dog

The first 3 days in Houston I was so star struck with all the amazing dogs and handlers. These folks came from all over the country to show here in Texas at the World Series of Dog Shows. Saturday was our last day to show in Houston, and Redmond pulled off a winning performance and caught Judge Douglas Johnson's eye. I am so proud of my boy, he really enjoyed his ring time every day and did everything I asked and more. He is an amazing dog with an amazing heart. I love this boy so much! Photo by Melinda Julian
Friday we went to the Harry Freeman Coliseum to show in the Bexar County Kennel Club and the Alamo Area Toy Dog Club's AKC Dog Shows. Dainty's Big Red won a Select in the Breed Group, and Dainty's Cashmere Stetson won in the Breed Group as well!
3/13/22: Dainty's Big Red moved into the big league the weekend of March 11-13, 2022 when he won his last point toward his Championship and moved up into the BOB division. Thank you to Judges Vicki Abbott, Susan St.John-Brown and James Mitchell for placing us Winner's Dog and Grand Champion Select. Was a truly memorable and great weekend for all of us here at Dainty Acres.
December 4, 2021: Thank you to Judge Scott Pfeil for choosing Redmond as Winner's Dog and the major point we needed to finish Dainty's Big Red. He was brilliant, really made my heart proud, he tries so hard despite me! There were 13 dogs showing this foggy morning in an outdoor barn at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Conroe Texas.
Judge Nena Dee was so nice to show to, placing Redmond "Winners Dog".
November 7, 2021: Judge Diane Landstrom is revered by many for her kind hands on the dogs and patience with new and seasoned handlers.
8/01/23: In our small breeding program we take partnering a breeding pair very seriously. Not only do they need to be quality in movement and structure, but they also need to be a great pet that will live a long and healthy life with their fur families. We look for the genetic markers that lead to breed specific diseases. For example the Italian Greyhound is prone to Familial Enamel Hypoplasia and Glaucoma.
Dainty’s Big Red Genetic Diversity Test Results
Familial Enamel Hypoplasia (FEH): N/N
Susceptibility to PRA (SPRA): Aa BB cc DD ee
Susceptibility to Glaucoma (PCAG): N/N
UC Davis has been a valuable resource for us here at Dainty Acres. We can test for a variety of genetic patterns. We have been testing all our breeding pairs for years and as well as helping our clients get a better bred dog.
Sounds like we over think things here at Dainty Acres, and yes! You are right!
Passing on his great brain and good looks.

November 6, 2021: Dainty's Big Red takes Winners Dog at Cypress Creek AKC Dog Show Humble TX. Judge Nena Dee was so nice to show in front of. She appreciated a good free-stack, and she had kind hands on the exam table.
November 7, 2021: Judge Diane Landstrom is revered by many for her kind hands on the dogs and patience with new and seasoned handlers.
September 24, 2021: Judge Luis Fernando Arce placed Dainty's Big Red Winners Dog and Best of Breed. Giving this young pup the chance to take a spin around the ring with the Toy Group winners. He did great, I was especially proud at how he just stood there taking it all in.
